Our Story
Our story began over a decade ago when our family first moved to New Zealand. The lush green landscapes, welcoming communities, and diverse nation of Aotearoa offered us a new home, but there was one thing missing—an authentic connection to the rich and vibrant flavors of East Africa. As proud Tanzanians, we often found ourselves longing for the unique ingredients needed to cook authentic dishes from our homeland.

With a passion for preserving our culinary heritage and traditions passed down through generations, we embarked on a journey to bring the tastes of East Africa to our new home. However, it has been challenging to source authentic ingredients locally. This challenge led us to build strong relationships with farmers, artisans, and local communities in Tanzania, allowing us to source high-quality, carefully selected ingredients. We ensure that every product we offer embodies the authentic flavors of East African cuisine.

But our story doesn’t end here—we plan to expand our offerings by sourcing ingredients from other regions across Africa. Watch this space!
